MINORU SUGIYAMA

アニメーション、漫画、版画、イラストなど幅広い活動を行っています。連続ショートアニメーション「ソフトさんの悲劇」は内外で多数の賞を受賞しています。銅版画（エッチング）の作品は独自の世界観を表現しており高く評価されています。ハンガリーではアニメーション映画のキャラクターのデザインを行うなどキャラクターデザイナーとしても世界での活躍が期待されています。著書に漫画「マザーコスモス」4コマ漫画「パパ戦記一姫編・二太郎編」、があります。

Ever since I was in the Tama Art University, I have been engaged in a wide range of creative works including etching, cartoons and visual images, and won a number of prizes. My etching works using a copperplate which powerfully express my original view of the world have been highly evaluated. After graduation, while I continued to take part in various genres of works with cartoons as the core, I created character short animations and received many awards. In addition, I am currently designing the characters of an animation movie produced in Hungary, and I’m expected to play an active part in the world as a character designer.
